Job Post: Cable Repairer

Zululand Anthracite Colliery would like to recruit a Cable Repairer to be based at the Deep–E section.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Std 8/Grade 10 (ABET level 4)

  • Basic literacy and numeric,

  • 6 months experience in a mining environment

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Repair trailing cables for production sections

  • Record all repairs and tests done and log in logbook

  • Record and number all cables in use

  • Keep workplace and equipment clean

KNOWLEDGE

  • Company policies and procedures

  • Knowledge of Electrical Equipment

  • Safety Regulations

SKILLS:

  • Basic Skills on Hand Tools

  • Communication Skills

  • Teamwork and co-operation.

  • Organisational Commitment
