Job Post: Surface Electrician
Zululand Anthracite Colliery would like to recruit a Surface Electrician to be based at the Surface Workshop.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Possession of an N3 with Mathematics / Equivalent.
Recognize Trade Test.
PLC will be a huge advantage.
5 or more year’s maintenance and repairs experience in a domestic environment.
3 years 11kv HT switching and power line repairs/installations.
A driver’s license (Code 8 / EB) is essential.
Advantageous:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fault Finding and repair on, domestic dwellings.
Install commission and maintain Surface substations.
Perform preventative maintenance on domestic equipment.
Earth moving Equipment
Perform daily safety device checks to ensure compliance.
Fault finding on hydraulic circuits
Safety Regulations.
Perform fault-finding, repairs, maintenance and switching in medium-voltage substations in order to sustain electricity supply.
Maintenance and repairs on the Sewage and Waterworks plants.
Maintenance and repairs on kitchen and laundry equipment.
Maintenance and repairs on the surface 380 / 220v reticulation circuits.
Maintain essential log books.
Must do weekend standby duties.
