Job Post: Instrumentation Technician
Zululand Anthracite Colliery would like to recruit an Instrumentation Technician to be based at the Surface Workshop.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering / N6 Certificate / S4 or T3
Trade Tested Instrumentation Technician
3-5 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of instruments and control systems
Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in the mining industry
Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley PLC knowledge
A driver’s license (Code 8/EB) is essential
Advantageous:
Experience on scales & weighing equipment will be an advantage.
Flame proof certificate
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installation, maintenance, and repair of surface and underground instruments and control systems
Plant R.D. Controllers
SCADA / HMI programming.
Installing and Maintaining CCTV systems
Perform routine instrument calibrations
Assesses equipment and recommends for decommissioning and disposal in line with set company standard
Identify, plan and executes Control & Instrumentation projects in line with accepted project management principle
